I absolutely love tamari roasted almonds. I can snack on them every day! Unfortunately, they are very expensive to buy pre-made in the store. The plus side is, they super easy to make yourself! Buying in bulk and making them yourself is also way, way cheaper. Save those extra dollars for wine! Hello! (This post contains Amazon affiliate links, which may earn me enough for a beer, but not enough for a pony!)

Let's get on with this deliciousness. Trust me, you're best off making two batches!

Buy yourself a pound bag of raw almonds. One pound should evenly fill an average sized baking sheet. I like to line my baking sheet with foil, for easy clean up. Pre-heat your over to 325 degrees. Spread your raw almonds out in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for ten minutes.

Pull the almonds out of the oven and toss them in a mixing bowl and lower the oven to 300 degrees. Add 3 tablespoons of organic tamari to the bowl, along with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. You can omit or use different oil, if you wish. If you like your almonds saltier, grind a bit of fresh sea salt in. Or try ground garlic, that is my favorite! Like spicy? Add some cayenne pepper. There's all sorts of possibilities! Or mix and match by mixing one ingredient in the sauce, and a different one for a sprinkle on top, adding a different layer of flavor.

Put the almonds back on the baking sheet in a single layer. Return to the oven for 5-6 minutes. Stir the almonds and bake another 5-6 minutes. They will be slightly chewy while fresh and hot, they will crisp up as they cool. If you like them extra crispy, bake them an extra minute or two, but be careful not to burn them! Remove from oven and let them cool entirely; store them in an airtight glass container or ziploc bag. Enjoy!

This is so easy! Plus it's great that they are a lot less expensive to make than to buy them in the stores, I'll have to give this a try.
